plotting with excel 2007?

Q: i have a graph with 8 different lines on the chart. i need to add 1 extra point to each line that i already calculated thats not in the data set for the chart. 2 questions: 1- can i just add an extra point to each line 2- can i add it without having a legend entry come up on the side of the chart thanks. i really hate the new microsoft office!

A: 1. You can, but only by adding the points to the chart data table and telling Excel that an additional data should be included in the chart (look for the data range specifications). The cells for the extra points can contain formulas that determine their value. 2. If your chart is getting its legend values from a column on the chart and you leave the legend cell for the extra points row empty (or with just spaces), then no legend should appear on the chart. I dislike Excel 2007 a little less most times I use it. Especially when I discover things it will do that Excel 2003 won't. The last one is somewhat trivial but there anyway. In Excel 2007 you can change the color of Headers and Footers but that is not possible in Excel 2003. But there are still times it reminds me of coarser vocabulary.
