Q: i have the opening of the Olympics but it's 5 GB i have too shrink the size to at least 4.6 GB so i wanna split it the format is VLC media file so i can't edited in windows movie maker i need help no harsh answer plz u know ur right it's not an vlc format i looked in the properties and i found something like mkv !!!!
A: The file isn't a 'VLC' file, it's a video file that has it's extension associated with the VLC player. Right click on the file, go to properties and find the file extension (.mpg .mov etc) then download the appropriate codec pack for Windows. Once the codec for the video file is installed, Windows Movie Maker should be able to open/edit it. If the file association hasn't been changed, right hand click and select 'Open with...' you should be able to open the file with the player of your choice.
