Q: Okay so my school has the new microsoft word for windows and i saved a file onto a flash drive and then i tried to open it at home but it won't work. i have word 2004 for mac on my laptop at home. i need to edit this file so how do i open it?????
A: You can download a compatability pack from the microsof website. Or you can save the file in 2003 format in 2007 by selecting it in the save dialog box. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=B6D69814-0995-490D-909A-5EC6AE6F64F0&displaylang=en download and install that and you should be able to open it.
