Q: how come whenever i open a new tab with mozilla firefox 3.0 it takes me directly there? how do i open a tab without it taking me there?
A: Go into Tools > Options (or Edit > Preferences on Linux, or Firefox > Preferences on Mac). Pick the Tabs tab. Uncheck the box marked "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"
