A: Umm, downloading copyrighted media is illegal regardless of the technical mode of downloading unless you've got a license (when you buy a movie, that warning from the FBI is sort of your limited license to view that content. Making copies and distributing that content w/o proper approval of the publisher is illegal. Theoretically there is a difference between those who download and those who upload. Downloaders suck up potential sale revenue only with each download - which is only once for each movie. Uploaders, in contrast, eat into tjose revenues numerous times for each movie. In practice though, Peer-share software blurs the line between downloader and uploader - and everybody stands to get hit.
