Q: On my toolbar (bottom right), whenever that windows update "shield" pops up, my computer momentarily freezes. It then disappears after a few seconds, and my computer runs again. Everything worked fine up to now, and I didn't download anything. I haven't downloaded windows service pack 3 yet, (as i'm that's sure that's why the update keeps popping up) because i have heard some bad things to it. Do you think I should download SP3?
A: Yes, download SP3. I was worried about it too, but after all was said and done, it was nothing to get all worked up about. I didn't even update my drivers before I did it. Have you explored the possibility that you may have some spyware or a virus on your machine? Or maybe it's due to to the fact that SP3 needs to be put on your system in order to keep it running smoothly (compatibility issues with more recent updates that were meant to run with SP3?). Good luck.
