Q: How can I go back to the previous version without losing all of my book marks? Problems I am experiencing include not being able to access my work email as I previously did very easily; frequent crashes; and strange/haphazard presentation on some webpages that appear ok on other browsers.
A: You might have a plug-in that doesn't work with that version or your version is corrupted. I have Firefox 3.01 on my MacBook, it works fine. I'd suggest trashing the current application, the bookmarks etc. are all kept in another folder and will stay in the MacBook. Download the same version again and reinstall it. You can also try running the disk utility program and have it repair your permissions. It checks to see if downloads were installed correctly
