Whats the use of SPAM in your inbox?

Q:

A: It's supposed to catch spam (Read: Unwanted) e-mails and throw them in there so they don't clutter your real inbox. It's not a perfect science by any means, and every e-mail program/provider likely uses different types of spam filtering. Some, you can set up yourself, some will learn what is and is not spam over time. It's just a way to filter junk mail.
