Q: i am haveing troubles getting a decent screen resolution in kubuntu 8.04 but no problems with kubuntu 7.10. is there a way to save the settings from 7.10 and then use that on kubuntu 8.04 if so how can i do that. i do have the driver install correct for kubuntu 8.04 but the best resolution i can only get is 800x600.
A: The only way is to edit your xorg.conf and explicitly tell it to use the resolution you want. I think I already gave you a relevant link in your other question.
