Q: I have a HP Pavilion PC that i bought about a year and a half ago that did not come with a Operating system disk. If i buy a Vista disk will it recover my computer if i ever need to? I have made a recovery cd for my computer but am not a big fan of this recovery cd thing because recovery cd's have failed me before on a older XP computer.
A: well, a recovery disk is a disk that is made for a specific computer, which will put it to its factory settings. they either come with the computer or you can order them online. if you just buy a vista premium disk at the store, thatll be good, just that it will be a clean OS with nothing installed on your computer, better than a recovery disk that came wit a comp if you ask me
