Q: I want the old version. I had the 60 day trial on Windows Vista but I do not want to pay for the really expensive version. Any suggestions? I need it soon!! Is OpenOffice exactly Microsoft Office Word? Because that is the file I need to upload it on a computer with Microsoft Office Word... NO!! I dont mean to not buy it... I mean where can I get the old version inexpensive!
A: You can get the teacher/student version of MS Office fairly cheap on ebay. It includes Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. See the link below. You can go even cheaper if, as you request in your question, you only need MS Word. I've added a link to an ebay auction for MS Works 2005 that includes MS Word 2003... starting bid $.99 with $5.99 shipping. I did this and was very happy.
