Q: I turned on my old computer that has Windows XP and I cannot get any icons to appear. I can't even get to the control panel as the screen is just a "blank" background. What could be wrong? It was working fine the last time I turned it on about 3 days ago. It appears to be working OK, except I can't click on "icons". It booted up OK, and I typed in my password but then just a background screen. Can anyone help?
A: run your windows by safe mode and rollback last updates or remove your newest application and delete your temp. hit f8 before running windows to use safe mode.
