A: Your firewall may be blocking the port used by gnutella. If you go into your router configuration and forward the port limewire is operating on, you will probably have better luck. Limewire operates on port 6346 If you're using a Linksys router and haven't changed any defaults, you will point your web browser at http://192.168.1.1 The user name will be blank, the password 'admin' (no quotes) Find the applications and gaming tab, and the subtab is 'forwarding' Type the port number, the ip address of your workstation (which you may want to configure permenantly) and click the 'enable' box.
