Q: ok. so this is the data i need to put in If Shopping What Are You Here to Do (this is the question) (these are the answers) food clothes shoes household goods furniture other how can i put these in and make a pie chart? complete run through would be great thanks!!!
A: Pie charts are the easiest of all to create because they are not comparative and therefore you don't have a Y or X axis to worry about. Presumably you will have two columns of data, Col A the row labels, i.e. food, clothes etc (starting row 2) and the figures alongside in col b. Row 1 should contain the column description, i.e. Item, Amount or something like that. Highlight both columns EXCLUDING column headings, then up to insert on the Menu and click on the Pie chart icon. This will immediately create a small pie chart near to your data. Either right button of mouse down to move chart so it is placed on a separate sheet full size, or up to the toolbar area, last icon, move chart location. Once it is full size, you can play around with it through the design, layout or format icons which are underneath the Menu chart tools.
