How do I stop a program from starting up in XP on startup?

Q: I have programs like Kodak Easyshare software which I need for my digital camera which startup when Windows starts although I don't neccesarily need them to and they have no option to not do this. I know there is a way you can go in and select which programs you want to startup when windows starts how do you do this? It would significantly speed up starting up time which is currently at about 5 min because of all the garbage I have trying to startup and update at once. Thanks. jeezers i cant change it within the program is what im saying.

A: HellOoOo (Lucious_Lady), I'll tell u how u will do that Do the following: Go to (Start) then click on (Run) a text box will appear to u, write on it (msconfig) then a screen will open for u from the Tabs click on (startup) then there u will find all the programs that startup whenever ur windows start , look for this one and find it there , then remove the check box beside of it . ( make it unchecked) then click ok and restart ur pc thats all, best wishes and gd luck, in case if u needed any help or anything just feel free to contact me at any time best of luck
