Q:
A: Yes, it is safe to disable the User Account Control (UAC). However, be aware that it will disable all of the user accounts on the computer except for the primary Administrator account. If you are the only one using the computer this will be fine. However, the UAC basically controls user accounts and the different privileges associated with those accounts. Meaning, if someone else using the computer with UAC disable they will have full administrative privileges and will be able to install programs, uninstall programs, change computer settings, etc. If you're not the only one using the computer and you don't wish other people to have full administrative privileges, you'll want to keep UAC enabled and setup different user accounts to restrict others use of such privileges.
