Q: What is SSL and TSL and should it be checked in the internet options. I was told to check that when I couldn't bring up a web site of Transam Air but when I checked it it still didn't come up. Could someone tell me the the significance of these files and should they be checked or unchecked. My computer came with them being unchecked. I don't want to mess up my security. thanks
A: SSL and TSL are are security protocols for communication on the internet. They provide security for whenever you send sensitive information over the internet. You should have the enabled on your computer. To enable them go to: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Inernet Options>Advanced. And then check mark all the SSL and TSL options. You may have to restart your web browser after you've enabled them. The reason why the program wouldn't come up is that you didn't have them enabled and henceforth you did not have a secure connection.
