Q: When I scan photos on the 3 in 1 scanner, I can not find how to get them in the computer. They seem to be lost . What am I doing wrong I am down loading them to " my pictures" and do not know what extension .. Sorry
A: The scanned photos are in the computer, they are just in an obscure file location. When you start to scan a photo, take the time to read everything the scan program puts on the screen. It will ask you if you want to save the scanned object to a certain location, HP is famous for using weird defaults. Make a note of where the file is being stored. You can also do a file search for *.jpg or *.whatever file type you are saving. That will tell you where your files are.
