Q: Using regedit, can find: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, but not: HKEY_ CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell. The "\Directory\shell" part is no where to be found! How to find it???
A: More than likely, you didn't scroll past the names with a period in them. It should be there between DirectFrame and DirectPlay. ** Advanced... don't do this if you don't know what you're doing --- You can also add the key by making a .reg file with the following in it: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell] @="none" NOTE: 99% of the time this will already be in there and you will have subsections under it...so don't do that unless you really don't have it ... Also note that Yahoo Answers will probabaly concatenate the whole line above... if you hover over, you will see that it is complete though. **
