Q: Please, please, PLEASE help me. My computer will not stop talking to me. It was perfectly fine until I logged in on my account on my Mac this morning. Everything I click my computer says to me. I have no idea how to stop it. Does anyone know how to turn this off? I'm about to lose my mind. i went to system preferences, went to speech, went to text to speech and have every box unchecked. it still talks!
A: if you hold down the apple key while pressing "F5" you can get rid of some of the problems. Mind you, I think this only works on the ones made before the newest model. If not, you can get rid of some problems in system preferences.
