Q: i installed windows live messenger a little while ago, and it was working well until a little box popped up. it was from mcafee or something, and it sad "will you allow internet access for this windows program?" stupid me accidentally clicked "deny access" because i thought it was for another program, not messenger. well...turns out i cant sign onto messenger anymore because it can't get to the internet...plus ive already uninstalled, then reinstalled windows live messenger any way that i can fix this problem?
A: Right click on the mcafee icon in your tray.Open it up and look for rules,go there and find live messenger in the list.You will have to change the rule there,I'm not familiar with mcafee so I can't tell you exactly how but you need to change it to allow.
